Safety.Net Safety.Net Unobtrusive firewall which appears to do a good job. Not like some of the other free firewalls available in that I have had no problems with it interfering with Antivirus programs. I have tried it with AVG, Avast, Antivir, F-prot, Panda. Other free firewalls required experimenting to find a compatable antivirus to run with. 6 months ago No replies
Q-Dir Q-Dir If you are like me and have four partitions on the HDD and scatter files everywhere, then this program is for you. You have four panels open each time and can have any combination of partitions or CD readers. Fantastic for re-organising your files and directories. Simple to use and supports drag and drop. AND IS FREE. 6 months ago No replies
Notepad++ Notepad++ Absolutely essential if you use a lot of text files that you like to chop and change. As a trainer it saves me a lot of time as it can open as many files as you need. Cutting and pasting from one to another is simple. Also is a good html editor. 6 months ago No replies
FreeCommander FreeCommander Good twin panel explorer. Easy to move files between folders if you have two partitions on the HDD. Simple to setup and use. Good for copying to and from RW CDs. If you have, like my setup, four partitions, another equally good program is "Q-dir". It displays four panels. 6 months ago No replies
Macroworx Filing Cabinets Macroworx Filing Cabinets Keeps the clutter off the desktop and the taskbar. Fairly easy to setup. Nice little pop-out cabinets. Only drawback is you need to pop-out each cabinet to see what is on them. Can be a bit of a nuisance. Would be better if each cabinet showed what they were when the mouse hovers over them. eg Internet, Office, etc. An alternative which does this is a program called "truelaunchbar" Similar in approach and costs about the same. 6 months ago No replies

EPSON Print CD EPSON Print CD Very good program for printing direct to CDs. Looks better than handwritten details. Excellent method of listing items that are on the CD or DVD. Only drawback is the expensive replacement inks. Can cost a lot if pictures are printed onto the CD. 6 months ago No replies
